About the Position: The Legislative Branch is made up of the following committees: Budget and Finance, Academic Affairs, Student Activities, and Student Advocacy. Senators have the power to create legislation for student government, and regulate the budgets presented by organizations on campus. They also have the ability to approve requests to Associated Students made by UC Merced administration, and promote the general welfare of the UC Merced student body. Office Hours:  Wednesdays from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM in the Lantern or ASUCM office.

Campaign Promises: Senator Colin’s goal was to listen to student voices and advocate for the student population.

Execution of Campaign Promises: Senator Colin is currently the Chair of Student Advocacy but due the absence of committee meeting minutes, there is no public record of activity.

Note: Senator Colin’s name is misspelled more than once in the Senate Meeting Minutes, making it difficult to track his achievements. Since the URL for Senator Colin on the ASUCM website is labeled “daisy-pelayo-figuera”, this may also significantly change the accessible information about this senator.
