Let’s bring a brewery to UC Merced! One may think that this hasn’t been done at another UC, however UC Davis already has a fully functioning brewery on their campus. This would be very beneficial for UC Merced and Merced city by creating a greater sense of community. In addition, UC Merced could create majors and programs related to the brewery. Thus, making UC Merced more diverse. Finally, creating and exposing UC Merced made brew will increase the visibility of the University of California, Merced.
At least, let’s try to bring a bar or promote beer sales on campus. It’s not about going crazy! It’s about creating a safe and responsible atmosphere for alcohol consumption. Additionally, students, staff, and faculty can become beer connoisseurs by making, learning, and tasting the many varieties of beer.
Have you wondered why UCM doesn’t have a bar on campus? Or why there isn’t any beer sold on campus? Why doesn’t UC Merced have a brewery on campus? On other campuses, including UCs, beer is sold. Let’s dream big and make a movement to join them!
