Many in the crowd including this man hold signs referencing President Trump’s campaign slogan. This student opens her home and family to those that cannot see their own. A student holds up a sign proclaiming that love makes America great. Many of the graduate students such as these two have to decide if seeing their parents is worth risking not being let back into the country. A student holds up a sign which reads ”Education Not Deportation” while watching her fellow student speak on the problems that the travel ban has created. Graduate Students, undergraduate students, and faculty alike all step forward to protest the travel ban. Some students remain optimistic and celebrate when later that night the 9th Circuit court ruled President Trump’s executive order to be unconstitutional.
